Descriptions:
The Belt Tensioner is a pulley mounted on a spring mechanism or adjustable pivot point that is used to keep tension on the engine belts. The assembly of a Belt Tensioner consists of parts like Arm, Dowel, Shaft, Bushing, and Ball. The tensioner arm is found on the bottom of the tensioner, and if you press on it, it will work against the spring, delivering enough slack so that you can adjust or remove the belt. A tensioner pulley uses a spring-loaded arm or a hydraulic actuator to apply the proper pressure and help keep the belt tensioned and aligned. On a drive belt system, the tensioner pulley is spring-loaded to maintain proper tension and alignment of the serpentine belt.
Attributes:
• Allow the timing Belt to move smoothly through the engine, powering various components.
• Reach engine temperature faster and more efficiently.
• Withstand wear and tear resistance.
Applications:
The Belt Tensioner is used in the Engine Arrangement, mostly used in Cat 3508 and 3508B Engine (Piston), 776B, 776C, 776D, 777, 777B, 777C, and 777D Trucks.
